Dreams

Never screen a dream
For people are mean
Breathe into it - a part of your life
And witness the dream come alive

Dream a dream
That's not easy to be screened
In the lonely dark nights
Imagine the celebration of lights

In the realm of a dream
Let expectations not be seen
Cruelty to the actor
Can leave dreams broken

But hey - Don't get stuck
Vacuum within just sucks time
So finish the play before the sets collapse -
For stale dreams are regrets in grave.

The road taken

(What if the guy who took the "road not taken" had a conversation with the guy who took the "road taken" in their death beds?)

"Two roads diverged in a wood -
I took the one less travelled by,
And that made all the difference"
Gazing away into the sky, he said.

"But are you sure?
Were you certain you did the right thing?
Or was it just by chance -
That you clung on to time's wing?"

"Of course not! Certainty is a farce,
Liars pretend certainty -
But loved the road I chose,
The dried leaves and the smell of mud"

"Must've been very different,
From the asphalt roads.
With a few very instructions to read from,
Like the difference between a poem and a prose?"

"Exactly! But I loved that sort of an uncertainty,
The woods gave me a high!
I knew that some distant day, I will fly,
But the journey for me, was worth the try"

"Hmmm. That's a lot faith and determination,
Awe inspiring, I must admit"
"That's something you need in any road you take,
Didn't you need it after we parted ways?"

"Of course! Sometimes, you don't know,
If it'll be you or your corpse at the finish line,
But I enjoyed the asphalt roads,
And I am glad we met to share our stories."

"Absolutely! Each road has its ways.
And I chose the one less traveled by,
Not because it would make a difference in the end,
But because I would love the journey"
